Psychics are not all the same

There are different sorts of psychic senses and I would imagine, based on my own experience, that any psychic is going to be better at one or the other or rely on a few to do their thing.  The person getting the psychic reading might get the same information from two psychics who employ different psychic senses to get that information.

You can also consider the length of time that a psychic has been practicing his or her craft.  For somebody who has lived with their psychic senses since they were young you will have a psychic who will probably be rather comfortable with the information they receive.  For somebody who has lately opened to their psychic senses it just takes time to develop them and grow accustomed to them.

Personally, I would rather not engage a psychic with just a few years of practice.  What I would really rather do that overrides length of psychic experience is go to a psychic who is okay with their own psychological and emotional growth.  Nothing worse than a paranoid psychic.  But, that is for another discussion.  Here I want to talk about some of the senses and specifically learning about psychic sight.

Some of the senses are:

Seeing – This would be precognition which is closing your eyes or achieving a sort of blank stare and seeing behind your eyes and in your head.  You might see for the person standing in front of you or the person at the other end of a telephone line or an email.  You would be able to see things about a person or situation in the past, present or future. Basically, it is seeing without your eyes.

Hearing – This would be channeling which is receiving information from somewhere else, be it a guide or a dead person, animal, plant or plastic chair.  I’m not kidding about the plastic chair.  I did that once as an experiment.  Very strange squeaky, static like noises. They call this one Clairaudience.

Feeling – Have you ever had a gut feeling about something?  The psychic version is called Clairsentience. This is a knowingness about a subject (man, plant, animal, mineral) through just a feeling.  I believe Clairvoyance also might come under this heading.

Touching – This would be knowing about something by actually touching it.  This is called Psychometry.

There are others, but I think working with this list should certainly do for a start.  My own better developed psychic sense is for hearing.  I’m a pretty good channel.  But, I’ve had spotty success with the other senses.  Lately, I’ve been working on psychic sight.

  Learning Psychic Sight

Here’s what I’ve been doing:  I do this in bed where I am laying down and relaxed.  I’ve done it both as I go to sleep and when I get up in the morning.  With the intention of experiencing psychic sight I begin.  The intention to do this is so important.  I really don’t know why, but it is.  If you don’t have that intention in place you just sort of meander all over the place like when you’re learning how to meditate.  The mind wanders.

So, lying in bed with intention to embark upon some psychic sight exercises you relax.  Eventually you are going to fall asleep which is probably why I’ve had better success with this exercise upon awakening.  There’s no way I would go back to sleep if I’ve got to be at work on time.  In any case, relax and for starters imagine an apple.  Just sort of see the apple in your mind’s eye.  Round, shiny, stem, red or green, however you see the apple.  Now allow it to fade away.  If nothing happens in the next few seconds imagine something else.  Not something that is going to excite you, just something that you can observe dispassionately.

What you might experience are flashes of things happening.  I get this swirly movement sometimes.  I can’t see anything in particular going on, but I know it’s not my usual mind’s eye imagining stuff.  Sometimes instead of the swirly stuff I get a quick shutter like action going on.  I can’t put my finger exactly on what I’m seeing, but there are parts of people, arms waving, heads, stuff like that.  It’s not horrid.  They are not disconnected from their other body parts, but it’s all that I am seeing right then.

Once you’ve had some success with actually seeing something whether it makes sense or not give it some direction.  Think of a place like your back yard or a relative’s house at a farther distance.  Or think of a person you know or of a person in the news.

My advice would not to be afraid of what you see.  Remember that this is something new and just like when you learn to meditate your body and subconscious might be alarmed.  First time I started meditating I saw horrible, ghoulish faces in my mind’s eye.  With continued practice those things stopped happening, but it was my body reacting to this new level of consciousness and rebelling.  It all calms down.

So, if you are seeing people in horrible situations that take your breath away do not be alarmed and keep at it.  It isn’t some evil spirit let loose upon the land.  It’s just your body and subconscious saying, “Whoa Bucko!  What the hell do you think you are doing?  This is not our reality.  We don’t appreciate you doing this.  Therefore, we will keep you safe and to do that will spring upon you countless ugly things to see that will ensure you never do this again.”  Same thing happens when you learn to walk.  You fall down a lot before you can stand firmly upon your own two feet.

Seth, my guide, told me once when I was first learning about past life regressions and I complained about all the depressing death scenes I was seeing from my own incarnations:  “When you embark upon a past life regression you are most likely to see the high points of an event.  These are scenes of great energy.  Where else is there great energy but at a personal passing?  Remember that in every life there are happy times just as there are sad times.  The next time you go into a past life regression do so with a bit of intention and seek out more than just your “horrid” moments.”
